A Breeze of Hope:

Who We Are

We believe that, to prevent sexual violence and other forms of violence against children, especially girls, there must be a paradigm shift in the way society sees and interacts with children.

We believe that, to prevent sexual violence and other forms of violence against children, especially girls,

there must be a paradigm shift in the way society sees and interacts with children. In essence, we must work with this generation's children to prevent the next generation's problems (e.g. sexual violence and other forms of violence, addiction, indifference to the suffering of others, ill health, etc.).

Misson

Our mission at a Breeze of Hope is to:

1) restore the lives of those who've suffered childhood sexual violence by providing them with free, holistic support

2) eradicate sexual violence through transdisciplinary prevention strategies

3) promote healthy, comprehensive childhood development.

Vision

We envision a world in which children grow up in loving and richly nurturing environments in which they can experience the fullness of life.

Values

Founders

Before A Breeze of Hope, these young victims had nowhere to turn; there were no organizations in Bolivia specializing in the treatment of sexually abused children.

Our team of lawyers, psychologists, and social workers, however, has set out to make sweeping legal changes and create a more sympathetic justice system. To date, the team has won 98% of the cases they have taken to court.

Transparency:

We ensure that our directors, officers, and staff are equally accountable to each other. Our non-hierarchal, peer-based accountability system ensures that each person in the organization receives constructive feedback on performance and has the opportunity to self-assess before the work community. Our round table approach to accountability ensures organizational transparency in ways that improve upon traditional accountability systems.

Excellence:

We demand the best of ourselves. We are committed to the highest standards of professionalism and excellence in all of our work. We set high goals and firmly commit to improving the quality of everything we do for children.

Creativity:

We embrace new ideas and change, and we take disciplined risks to develop sustainable solutions for and with children.

Collaboration:

We respect and value each other, thrive on our diversity, and collaborate to leverage our global strength in making a difference for children. We believe that the strongest movements are created when people and organizations partner to combine their strengths, ideas, and experiences.

Integrity:

We aspire to live to the highest standards of personal honesty and behavior. We never compromise our reputation and always act in the best interest of children.

Accountability:

We take personal responsibility for using our resources efficiently, achieving measurable results, and being accountable to supporters, partners, and, most of all, children.

Bolivia Staff:

To protect our staff in Bolivia, we do not release any identifying information for them, including names, pictures, bios, and number of staff. Thank you for your understanding.
