Meet Parker Palmer
CFO of A Breeze of Hope
Parker is co-founder and CFO of A Breeze of Hope.
He is a tireless advocate for children’s rights, and for the last thirteen years he has worked with early childhood development and the prevention of sexual violence against children. In addition to ensuring the financial and operational health of A Breeze of Hope, Parker’s work focuses helping government officials and professionals provide trauma-informed services to child victims of sexual violence.
Parker is the author of two investigations on Bolivian criminal law and criminal procedure, which continue to provide the framework for ongoing litigation and thematic hearings before the Inter-American Commission and Court on Human Rights. He is also co-author of various books that focus on sexual violence prevention and early childhood development. Additionally, Parker serves as a legal consultant in Bolivia, where he drafts model legislation as part of legal reform efforts and helps local attorneys to develop client centered, comprehensive case strategies.
In 2020, Parker received the Elevate Prize for his human rights work on behalf of child survivors of sexual violence.
