Meet Megan Heinly
General Program Coordinator
Megan Leaman Heinly is a Licensed Social Worker (LMSW) from Lancaster Pennsylvania.
She received a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Messiah College in 2008 and a Master’s in Clinical Social Work with an international concentration from Temple University in 2012. Megan has experience working with children and youth in the foster care and adoption process, working with individuals and families who are refugees in the United States, and working to help individuals and families move beyond poverty and homelessness to more stable lives.
She helped expand the mental health services and attention to trauma among recent refugees in Lancaster County as part of her Master’s program. Most recently, she helped launch a Center for family financial independence, health and wellness at an organization serving families that are homeless in New Haven, Connecticut. Megan enjoys researching best practices and learning from a diversity of people about their cultures, beliefs, and experiences of health and wellness. She enjoys technical writing and has experience with grant proposal writing for U.S. organizations.
